ACCOMMODATIONS
Each bedroom is part of a three-bedroom suite that includes two shared bathrooms, a small living area, and kitchenette. Each bedroom can be a single or double room. Bedding, pillows, and towels are provided. For Venue Info and a Virtual Tour CLICK HERE .
BED HEIGHT
Please be aware that each bed is captain’s height at 37". This is 2 feet higher than most beds and roughly kitchen counter height . If you need your bed lowered, you must indicate that AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION. UCSB charges Woman to Woman an additional fee for this service, so please request only if necessary due to mobility issues. An alternative is to request a step stool (more available but still limited) at time of registration.
MEALS
UCSB dining provides a wide variety of buffet food sufficient to accommodate most diets. Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast, lunch and dinner, and Sunday breakfast and lunch are included. We provide UCSB dietary information on our WEEKEND LINKS page prior to and during the event. Hospitality has sodas and sparkling water available for a donation of $1 each. FOR QUESTIONS check out the FAQ page.
DRESS AND PACKING
Casual clothes are the norm. We recommend bringing a sweater, as it may get chilly at night. Bring walking shoes, a swimsuit and towel, shower shoes, workout clothes, and yoga mat if you like. We may offer yoga during the weekend. Bring a refillable water bottle as bottled water will not be available. You will find filtered water available near the workshop rooms and in your suite refrigerator.
VALUABLES
Do not bring any valuables. Neither the Committee nor UCSB is responsible for any lost or stolen items. You may want to bring cash for soda or commemorative donations.
SLEEP
Bring ear plugs, an alarm clock, and a small fan if you like. (Suites do not have A/C.) UCSB provides sheets, a thin blanket, and pillow. Bring additional blankets, pillows and towels if desired. Towels provided by UCSB are not allowed at the beach, so bring a beach towel if you need it.
PARKING
UCSB charges a separate parking fee. It’s best to purchase parking a few days in advance on their website. Each permit ties to the license plate number you provide and is not transferrable. (In 2025, the fee was $8/car per night. We encourage carpooling.) All registrants receive a link prior to the weekend and instructions for purchasing. After checking in, volunteers will direct you to the Luggage Drop area, and then to the appropriate parking lot. DO NOT PARK in employee parking.
DISABLED PERSON PARKING PLACARD
Indicate that you have a Disabled Person Parking Placard when you register.
ACTIVITIES & FREE TIME
Along with many meetings and workshops, the weekend offers ample time for caring, sharing, and getting to know one another. Campus and the surrounding area have walking trails, basketball/volleyball courts, a well-equipped workout room, a swimming pool, and the beach one mile away. We hope you’ll enjoy these opportunities for sun and fun. A schedule for planned activities will be in your arrival packet.
NO TAPING or FILMING ALLOWED to ensure everyone’s anonymity.
NO SOLICITATIONS
SMOKING AND VAPING
UCSB is a COMPLETELY SMOKE-FREE AND VAPE-FREE CAMPUS. You will need to leave campus to smoke or vape. (There is a sidewalk area within walking distance, off campus and across the street, where you can smoke or vape.) Smoking/vaping is also not allowed in any campus parking lot.
VOLUNTEERS
PLEASE be sure to get your packet at Attendee Check-in.
